General Industry 10 & 30 hour Courses
These two programs are OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards 10 hour and 30 hour courses authorized by the Federal OSHA Training Institute (OTI). These are basic, general overview, type courses for persons new to OSHA safety or can be excellent “refresher” training for those already working in safety. Students successfully completing this course will receive a pocket card from the Federal OSHA Training Institute, a widely-accepted form of OSHA safety credentials and recognized by employers nation-wide.
Construction Industry 10 and 30 hour Courses
These two programs are OSHA 1926 Construction Standards 10 and 30 hour courses authorized by the Federal OSHA Training Institute (OTI). These are basic, general overview type courses for persons new to OSHA Construction safety or can serve as excellent “refresher” type courses for those already working in safety. Students successfully completing this course will receive a pocket card from the Federal OSHA Training Institute, a widely-accepted form of OSHA safety credentials and recognized by employers nation-wide.
Trenching & Excavation “Competent Person” Training
This course is for all employers working in trenching and excavation. OSHA requires the employer to have a "competent person" on-site who is trained and knowledgeable in soil analysis, protective systems, and the requirements of the standard. This one-day course meets OSHA 1926 Construction Standard for Trenching & Excavation “Competent Person” as required by OSHA for employers working in trenches. Class content covers all parts of Standard 1926.650-652 to include Soil Analysis, Protective Systems, Underground Utilities, Soil Piles, Safety Requirements, Checklists, and Access and Egress. Students completing this program will receive a pocket card certifying them as Trench “Competent Person”, student workbook and copy of the Trenching Standard.
Fall Protection “Competent Person”
This one-day program addresses all aspects of Fall Protection as required in 1910 General Industry and 1926 Construction Standards. OSHA requires the employer to have a person or persons trained as a “Competent Person” to manage their fall protection program. Additionally, OSHA requires all employees working above 4 feet in General Industry and 6 feet in Construction to be trained in their job-specific fall protection requirements for their organization. Students completing this program will receive a pocket card certifying them as a “Competent Person”, student workbook and copy of the standard.
Fall Protection Employee Training
This ½ day training program lists common fall protection hazards present at the job site, types of fall protection the employer may use, when to use and/or wear fall protection, approved anchor points, common items not approved to tie off to, and fall protection requirements of OSHA and the employer.
Construction Employee Awareness Training
This ½ day training program meets the OSHA 1926.21 (b) (2) Construction standard training requirement for all employees to be trained in their site-specific job hazards. Topics covered include electrical safety, ladder and trip hazards, fall protection hazards, PPE requirements, and other appropriate topics.
Scaffolding “Competent Person”
This ½ day course meets OSHA requirements for Scaffolding in 1910 and 1926 Construction Standards. OSHA requires the employer to have a person or persons trained as a Competent Person for Scaffolding on the job site for set-up, dismantling, and use of scaffolds.
This one-day training program meets 1910 General Industry Standard requirements for forklift operators. It includes written and practical training topics and is specific to your forklifts. Students successfully completing this program receive a student handout book, copy of the Forklift standard, and a certification pocket card.
Permit-Required Confined Space Entrant & Attendant Training
This 1-day course meets OSHA permit-required confined space standard 1910.146 requirements for entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor training. Course covers all parts of the OSHA standard as well as a hands-on practical exercise for a non-entry rescue into a permit-required confined space. Topics covered are case studies of fatalities, evaluation, entry, hazards, training, instrumentation, ventilation, entry permits, permit space programs, and rescue.
OSHA requires the employer to provide training to all employees who work in or around permit-required confined spaces before they begin work and this training must be certified by the employer. All employees who enter manholes, sewage lift stations, wet wells, septic tanks, meter pits, vaults, stormdrains, or tanks are required to have this training.
This 1 to 1 to ½ hour program is designed to meet the OSHA 1910 General Industry Blood borne Pathogen standard for initial and annual training requirements. The employer is required to have a written program that lists job specific work practices. Topics include exposure incidents, PPE, work practices, clean up, hepatitis vaccines, and universal precautions.
Accident Investigation and Employee Misconduct
This ½ day program covers accident causation procedures, Human-side issues, Safety & Health Training, Hazard Prevention & Control, Management Commitment and Employee Involvement, and Worksite Analysis. A key to this program is how to develop a Safety & Health Program. Successful implementation of this program will reduce accidents, improve productivity, and improve the safety culture of the organization. Also included are OSHA responsibilities for the employer and for the employee, OSHA penalties and inspection criteria, and employee misconduct criteria for OSHA issued citations.
This 1 to 2 hour program meets the OSHA Standards for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training requirements. It also addresses the OSHA mandated written Hazard Assessment, a requirement for employers to develop, which identifies hazards in jobs each employee performs, and what type of PPE is assigned to protect the employee from that particular hazard.
Fire Safety & Emergency Action Plans
This program is approximately 2 hours in length and addresses the OSHA mandated training requirements for all employees to be trained on emergency evacuation, exit routes, exit signs, and fire alarms. Components of an OSHA required Emergency Action Plan is also covered.
This 1 ½ hour training program meets the OSHA requirements for Hazard Communication training of all employees who are exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace. It also addresses the requirements in the OSHA Standard for Labeling, MSDS, and the written program requirement.
Welding Safety for General Industry
This 1 ½ hour program covers the OSHA requirements for General Industry Cutting & Welding Standard. It addresses fire safety, fire extinguishers, and work procedures.
This ½ day program covers OSHA's Safety and Health System Model, direct and indirect costs of injuries and accidents, categories of hazards, job hazard analysis, training, safety and health inspections, accident investigations, causes of accidents, and control measures. This program can be designed to meet a company's specific needs.
This ½ day program covers the causes of work-related MSD's, MSD symptoms, components of a ergonomic program, and some common "fixes" to reduce MSD's and related costs. This program can be designed to meet a company's specific needs.
